Using high resolution image scanning, the pictures are scanned to capture every intricate detail, if required the pictures can be enhanced to improve the quality of the images and remove any slight wear and tear from the media.

Slides are also susceptible to damage and can be digitally retained during the slide scanning process while maintaining their original quality just in the same way as microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards.

The Scanning process

If there is a very large archive of photographs from a large collection or organisation then they can also be returned on DVD’s which hold over 6 times as much data as a CD. These can additionally be hosted securely online or stored on a local network with relevant security access levels.
